Magdalena came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Grady Bronchos 11-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in March.

Joseph Zamora was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Javen Tafoya was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Magdalena was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Magdalena's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Grady, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Magdalena will challenge Melrose at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The Steers will need to watch out since the Buffaloes have now posted at least ten runs in their last nine games. As for Grady, they will take on Cimarron at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
