It was a proper cat-fight when Buckeye faced off against Grant on Friday. The Buckeye Panthers snuck past the Grant Cougars with a 41-35 victory. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Grant lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being A Sykes, who posted ten points and five steals. With that strong performance, Sykes is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game. A Sykes was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 10 points.

Buckeye's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Grant, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Buckeye didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-16 defeat against Montgomery on the 10th. As for Grant, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 40-37 loss against Holy Savior Menard on the 9th.
