Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Empire). They breezed by the Andrada Polytechnic Mavericks to the tune of 89-19 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Ravens with their most commanding win of the season.

Donovan Davidson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 31 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Gabe Shearer, who posted 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Empire was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Empire is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Andrada Polytechnic, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Empire Ravens challenge the Thatcher Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thatcher has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Andrada Polytechnic, they will square off against Sabino at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sabino will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Andrada Polytechnic surely won't give up without a fight.
