Softball Recap: Meadowbrook Comes Up Short

The matchup between Meadowbrook and Prince George on Tuesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Monarchs lost 20-1 to the Royals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Monarchs of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Meadowbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Prince George, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meadowbrook will challenge Colonial Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prince George, they will welcome Dinwiddie at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Generals have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season.
