Soccer Recap: Greene Central Comes Up Short

Greene Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Lenoir Hawks. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Rams couldn't quite close it out.

Greene Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for North Lenoir, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greene Central will host Farmville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Greene Central their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for North Lenoir, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jones at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
