Volleyball Recap: Gustine Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jaclynn Lopez and Adamaris Sierra + How To Watch

Gustine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Le Grand Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Reds of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Le Grand scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-22.

Gustine's loss came despite strong showings from Adamaris Sierra and Jaclynn Lopez. Sierra had seven digs, five kills, and five aces, while Lopez had six aces, five kills, and four digs. Lopez is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Syrena Chacon, who had ten digs.

Gustine's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Le Grand, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-10 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Gustine is set to square off against their familiar foe Mariposa County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Le Grand will take on rival Waterford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
