It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hunt ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over Southern Wayne.
Hannah Roberts spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
