Volleyball Recap: Plainview's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Plainview came into Tuesday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Sylvania Rams by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bears also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Plainview easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12.

Faith Odom paced Plainview's offense, picking up eight kills. Odom got some help from Jada Gray and her nine assists. Gray was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Plainview's win bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Sylvania, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Plainview will challenge Madison County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sylvania, they will head out to challenge Boaz at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
