Basketball Game Preview: Pryor Tigers vs. Edison Eagles

The Pryor Tigers will head out to square off against the Edison Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edison took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Pryor, who comes in off a win.

Pryor will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Tahlequah, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Pryor took down Tahlequah 56-41 on Friday. Given Pryor's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Tahlequah is ranked 238th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 65-23 loss at the hands of Coweta.

Pryor's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points over those games. As for Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 3-21.

Everything came up roses for Pryor against Edison when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 61-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pryor since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
