Softball Game Preview: Chesnee Eagles vs. Clinton Red Devils

The Chesnee Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Clinton Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Chesnee's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Clinton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Chesnee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past North Central 6-0. Considering the Eagles have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Clinton beat Buford 8-3 on Wednesday.

Clinton pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Chesnee, their win bumped their record up to 20-7.
