Steele Canyon owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They strolled past the Grossmont Foothillers with points to spare, taking the game 18-0. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 36-20 victory the Foothillers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Steele Canyon's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Grossmont, they moved to 13-3 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Steele Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 25-19 loss against Bonita Vista on the 27th. As for Grossmont, they will square off against Helix at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
