Baseball Recap: Enterprise Beats Auburn for Their Fourth Straight Win

Enterprise put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Auburn Tigers as the Enterprise Wildcats made off with a 9-2 victory. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 7-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Brady Richardson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Richardson was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mikey Vanderheyden, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Enterprise's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs over those games. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Enterprise will venture away from home to challenge Pike Liberal Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Auburn, they will host Providence Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games Providence Christian has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
