Volleyball Recap: Strathmore Beats Corcoran for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Strathmore waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Corcoran Panthers. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-28, 25-10, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was Tylie Dement, who had ten digs and two assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September.

Strathmore was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matches.

Strathmore's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Corcoran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Strathmore is set to take on their familiar foe Granite Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Corcoran will face off against rival Woodlake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
