Southeast extends road losing streak to three

Recap: Southeast Golden Buffalo vs. Heights Falcons

The Southeast Golden Buffalo's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Heights on the road and fell 66-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeast has scored all season.

Heights' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amalachi Wilkins, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of T.J. Williams, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Southeast bumped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Heights, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North on January 5, 2024. As for Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Hays at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hays will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Heights is ranked 23rd).
