Baseball Game Preview: Ganado Indians vs. Weimar Wildcats

Ganado hasn't had much luck against Weimar recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Indians will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ganado has three straight victories, Weimar has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Friday, Ganado was able to grind out a solid win over Schulenburg, taking the game 6-3.

Austen Pena was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Ganado's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 5-7-1 when he doesn't). Cain Hayden was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Weimar came up short against Shiner back in March and fell 7-2.

Weimar's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Ganado, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8-1.

Ganado took their win against Weimar in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 15-5 score. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
