Volleyball Recap: Medway Takes a Loss

After flying high against Norton last Wednesday, Medway came back down to earth. The Mustangs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Medfield Warriors on Monday. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 24-26, 25-17.

Mackenzie Klaus paced Medway's offense, picking up nine kills. Klaus got some help from Lucy Mitchell and her 14 assists. Finally, Emma Copeland kept Medway's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Medway now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Medfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Medway is set to face off against their familiar foe Holliston at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Medfield will challenge rival Ashland at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
