Soccer Recap: Martin County's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

With a playoff win on the line, Martin County rose to the challenge on Thursday. They never let the Olympic Heights Lions onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Lions on January 8th, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Emily Kokel and Luciana Licht scored both of Martin County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

The victory snapped Martin County's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7-1 record. As for Olympic Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 19-5-1.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Martin County face off against the Dwyer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Olympic Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
