Soccer Recap: Sharpstown Takes a Loss

After flying high against Westbury last Tuesday, Sharpstown came back down to earth. The Sharpstown Apollos fell 2-0 to the Galena Park Yellowjackets on Friday. The Apollos have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sharpstown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Galena Park, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.

Looking ahead, Sharpstown will square off against Carnegie Vanguard at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sharpstown is facing Carnegie Vanguard at the right time seeing as Carnegie Vanguard is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Galena Park, they will head out on the road to square off against Westbury at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Galena Park's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Westbury's offense will have their work cut out for them.
