Valley Stream South had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 35-0 defeat at the hands of the Carey Seahawks on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Seahawks are ranked 46th).

Coincidentally, Valley Stream South and Carey will both be playing Floral Park Memorial the next time they take the field. The Seahawks will host the Knights on Saturday, while the Falcons will head out to face them on the 27th.
