Basketball Recap: Mancelona Takes a Loss

Mancelona lost against St. Mary Cathedral back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mancelona Ironmen fell 53-42 to the St. Mary Cathedral Snowbirds. The contest marked the Ironmen's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Mancelona's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-4. As for St. Mary Cathedral, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mancelona will challenge Onaway at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Mary Cathedral, they will face off against Central Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
