Football Game Preview: Carrollton Cavaliers vs. Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals

The Carrollton Cavaliers will head out on the road to face off against the Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carrollton's offense hasn't had much luck over their past five matchups, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Carrollton is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Nouvel Catholic Central on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Cavaliers were dealt a 58-6 defeat at the hands of the Panthers. The Cavaliers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-0.

Meanwhile, Michigan Lutheran Seminary came up short against Valley Lutheran on Friday and fell 31-21.

Carrollton will need to focus on slowing down Noah Reif, one of several Michigan Lutheran Seminary players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 142 receiving yards and one score, and also punched in one rushing score. Reif was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 63 yards. Another player making a difference was Andrew Miller, who threw for 169 yards and one touchdown on only 15 passes.

Michigan Lutheran Seminary now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Carrollton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Carrollton was able to grind out a solid victory over Michigan Lutheran Seminary in their previous meeting back in October of 2021, winning 28-20. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
