Basketball Recap: Sterling Now 11-3 over Last 14 Games

Sterling won the last time they faced Santa Fe and things went their way on Saturday too. The Sterling Rangers secured a 53-47 W over the Santa Fe Indians.

Santa Fe's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Crable, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Crable is now averaging an impressive 2 blocks per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaidan Mata, who posted eight points along with five assists and three steals.

Sterling has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Santa Fe, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Sterling didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-62 win against Channelview on the 28th. As for Santa Fe, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 77-51 victory against Milby on the 28th.
