Basketball Recap: Garces Memorial Takes a Loss

Garces Memorial managed to keep up with Frontier until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Garces Memorial Rams came up short against the Frontier Titans, falling 63-38. The Rams were probably out for revenge after losing 63-53 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Zach Garnett was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds for Frontier. Dallin Crawford was another key player, putting up 12 points and eight boards.

Garces Memorial dropped their record down to 7-15 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Frontier, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Garces Memorial has already played their next game (against Liberty), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Frontier will face off against Hoover at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Frontier is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season.
