Basketball Recap: Cortez's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Cortez came into Thursday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past the Tempe Buffaloes with a 55-51 victory on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Colts, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Tempe, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Cortez will square off against Arcadia at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tempe, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Coronado at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
