Recap: Golden Sierra Grizzlies vs. Rio Vista Rams
After a string of three wins, the Golden Sierra Grizzlies's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rio Vista. Golden Sierra has not had much luck with Rio Vista recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Golden Sierra lost, one person who can't be blamed is Patrick Bingham. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 22 rebounds. Bingham is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Jordan Harper was another key contributor, scoring four points along with four steals.
Golden Sierra's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Rio Vista, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Golden Sierra will stay at home for another game and welcome Vacaville Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Rio Vista will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Esparto at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Esparto is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
