Softball Recap: Horace Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Sheyenne

Horace faced Sheyenne in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Horace took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sheyenne. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Sheyenne this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-8 loss back in April.

This is the second loss in a row for Horace and nudges their season record down to 8-5. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Sheyenne, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8.

Horace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sheyenne, they will venture away from home to face off against Williston at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Coyotes will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
