Basketball Game Preview: Blair Vikings vs. South Pasadena Tigers

The Blair Vikings will face off against the South Pasadena Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. One thing working in Blair's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 contests.

Last Friday, Blair took their matchup with ease, bagging a 74-47 victory over San Marino. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Blair can attribute much of their success to Timmy Anderson, who went 13 of 17 on his way to 35 points along with five assists and three steals, and Jaleel Hunter, who shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. Anderson's evening made it 29 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Nassir Freeman was another key player, putting up four points and five boards.

Meanwhile, South Pasadena unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against Mayfair, falling 79-53.

Blair is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.1 points per game. As for South Pasadena, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8.

Blair strolled past South Pasadena in their previous meeting last Friday by a score of 95-80. Will Blair repeat their success, or does South Pasadena have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
