Baseball Recap: Mt. Eden Monarchs vs. San Leandro Pirates
Mt. Eden had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 12-12 to make it four. They came up short against the San Leandro Pirates, falling 8-2. The Monarchs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 3-2.
Mateo Romo was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Cristian Alvarenga was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
