With a playoff win on the line, Center Grove rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Franklin Central Flashes a 3-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won 13 contests in a row.

Kara Biever looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sydney Herrmann, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Center Grove's victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Franklin Central, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 19-10 record.

As of now, neither Center Grove nor the Flashes have any future games scheduled.
