Soccer Recap: Red Bluff Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Red Bluff was not quite Shasta's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Shasta Wolves by a score of 1-0. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Wolves earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Red Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Shasta, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.

Coming up, Red Bluff will head out on the road to square off against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Valley's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Red Bluff's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Shasta, they will welcome Chico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
