Baseball Recap: Caruthers Takes a Loss

Caruthers had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 11-17 to make it four. They came up short against the Liberty Hawks, falling 11-1. If the Blue Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 12-1 to the Hawks when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Caruthers saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andy Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for Liberty, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

On Liberty's side, Xaviar Gordon was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Gordon has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Rogers-Lehman, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Caruthers nor Liberty have any future games scheduled.
