Basketball Recap: John F. Kennedy Takes a Loss

John F. Kennedy was the 55-39 winner over London when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The John F. Kennedy Rockets lost 52-27 to the London Pirates on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1121st, while the Pirates are ranked 287th).

Ac Carpentier continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for London, going 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Naranjo, who posted nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for John F. Kennedy and nudges their season record down to 2-8. As for London, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

John F. Kennedy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-63 victory against Santa Rosa on the 6th. As for London, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 42-39 win against Cole on the 5th.
