Volleyball Recap: Phelps Comes Up Short

Phelps was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Hurley Northstars.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Hurley scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Phelps saw an underclassman step up: freshman Emmaly Jones had six digs and three aces.

Phelps' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Phelps has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mellen on the 30th. As for Hurley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Butternut on the 30th.
