Recap: Elkhorn South Storm vs. Millard South Patriots
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Elkhorn South Storm walked away with it. They came out on top against Millard South by a score of 24-13 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Elkhorn South sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Brady Bousquet continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 115 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 61 receiving yards. Bousquet was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards. Dylan Kingston made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amarion Jackson, who picked up 160 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Elkhorn South's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Millard South, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
Elkhorn South will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Omaha Westside at 7:15 p.m. on November 21st. Omaha Westside knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Elkhorn South likes a good challenge. Millard South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
