St. Martin suffers ninth straight loss on the road

Recap: St. Martin Yellow Jackets vs. Harrison Central Red Rebels

The St. Martin Yellow Jackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 75-26 loss at the hands of Harrison Central. St. Martin was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.

St. Martin's loss came despite strong showings from Christian Dinh and Jaxon Walker. Dinh scored three points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Walker scored no points along with two steals.

Aujaylen Barron continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Harrison Central, scoring 29 points along with three steals. Barron has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Jashun McMillian was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds and five steals.

St. Martin dropped their record down to 4-20 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Harrison Central, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Martin will take on Long Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harrison Central, they will be playing at home against Hancock at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hancock has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
