Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Doyle's 13th in Last 15 Outings

Doyle proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 29) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 win over the Albany Hornets. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-49 back in January.

Doyle has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Albany, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 29-12.

Doyle and Albany should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Doyle will challenge Loranger at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 179 places (98 vs. 277). Similarly, Albany (ranked 90th) will meet East Feliciana (ranked 308th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
