Soccer Game Preview: O'Connor vs. Shadow Ridge

The O'Connor Eagles will square off against the Shadow Ridge Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. O'Connor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

O'Connor is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Chaparral just ended the team's four-game winning streak two weeks ago. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result kept the Eagles happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 9, 2024.

Madison Brown was the only thing that stood between O'Connor and a shutout considering she scored both of O'Connor's goals, bringing her season total up to two goals.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Shadow Ridge's offense. They lost 8-0 to Basha on Wednesday. The Stallions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

With that draw, O'Connor's record moves to 4-2-1. As for Shadow Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything went O'Connor's way against Shadow Ridge in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as O'Connor made off with a 7-1 win. Will O'Connor repeat their success, or does Shadow Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
