Soccer Recap: Moriarty Takes a Loss

If Moriarty was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Del Norte last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pintos came up short against the Los Alamos Hilltoppers on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Moriarty couldn't quite close it out.

Moriarty's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Los Alamos, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Moriarty will take on Pojoaque Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Moriarty are facing Pojoaque Valley at the right time seeing as Pojoaque Valley are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Los Alamos, they will face off against Taos at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
