Basketball Recap: Loganville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Loganville was the 67-46 winner over Clarke Central when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 51-50 to the Gladiators. While the Red Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Gladiators 13-7 in the first quarter.

It was another big night for Andrea Cox, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 17 boards for Clarke Central. Cox is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in each of the last six games he's played. Taalid Gipson was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Loganville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Clarke Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Loganville will take on Jasper County in a tournament on Friday. The Red Devils will be up against the Hurricanes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Clarke Central, they will be home for the holidays to greet Oconee County at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The Gladiators are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
