Recap: Parker Thundering Herd vs. Ramsay Rams
The Parker Thundering Herd have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 24 points or more this season. They blew past Ramsay, posting a 49-21 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Parker who now have five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Teralyn Hill, who scored 15 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Janiya Mines, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Parker's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Ramsay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.
Parker won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Huffman at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th. Huffman will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Ramsay, they will be playing at home against Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Jacksonville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Ramsay is ranked 94th).
