            The Roane County Raiders will take on the Poca Dots at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Roane County has five straight  wins, Poca has five straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Roane County barely beat Nicholas County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp  38-12 victory on Friday. Considering the Raiders have won six matchups by more than 25  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.

Letourneau gained 158 total yards and two touchdowns while  Starcher rushed for 137 yards and one  touchdown on only 13 carries. Those  137  rushing yards gave  Starcher a new career-high.
 Roane County's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB  four times. In that department,  Garrett Brabham was the leader with 2.5 sacks. Roane County received some extra help from  Braxton Browning, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
 Poca had taken Sissonville down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end  on Friday. The Dots took  a  22-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.
 Roane County's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Poca, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
 Everything went Roane County's way against Poca in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024, as Roane County made off with  a  45-19 victory. In that  contest, the Raiders amassed a halftime lead of  37-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
