Basketball Recap: Seneca Valley Piles Up the Points Against Watkins Mill

Seneca Valley won the last time they faced Watkins Mill and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Watkins Mill Wolverines 62-21. The Screamin' Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Jayden Addison, who went 9-for-12 to rack up 20 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in shooting accuracy (75%). Another player making a difference was Teagan Phillips, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points.

Seneca Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 11 consecutive games.

Seneca Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games. As for Watkins Mill, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Coming up, Seneca Valley is taking a road trip to take on Walter Johnson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Watkins Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
