Basketball Game Preview: Steele Comets vs. Strongsville Mustangs

Steele has won three straight games at home, while Strongsville has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Steele Comets will welcome the Strongsville Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Steele knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Strongsville likes a good challenge.

While Steele didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Keystone by a score of 63-50 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Strongsville earned a 58-45 victory over Chaminade Julienne Catholic on Sunday. The 58-point effort marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Steele is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Strongsville, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
