Softball Game Preview: Indianola Indians vs. Norwalk Warriors

The Indianola Indians will face off against the Norwalk Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Indianola is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Lincoln a 16-0 shutout on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Railsplitters: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Norwalk put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over Fort Dodge. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since May 29th.

Norwalk pushed their record up to 12-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Indianola, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
