The Lookeba-Sickles Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. The New Year welcomed they with a 66-36 whooping from Sayre. Lookeba-Sickles was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Sayre apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Despite the loss, Lookeba-Sickles saw an underclassman step up: Nathan Morris dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. Morris scored a full 66.7% of Lookeba-Sickles' points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Lookeba-Sickles' defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Sayre, their win bumped their record up to 1-5.

Lookeba-Sickles and Cordell will face off at 12:00 p.m. on January 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
