Recap: Lyman Greyhounds vs. Dr. Phillips Panthers
On Friday, Lyman ended up a good deal behind Dr. Phillips and lost 65-47. While losing is never fun, Lyman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while Dr. Phillips is ranked 108th).
Despite the loss, Lyman still got an impressive performance from Max Mattingly, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. Jayden Heller was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Lyman dropped their record down to 6-16 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Dr. Phillips, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-10.
Lyman will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Trinity Prep at 7:00 p.m. As for Dr. Phillips, they will head out on the road to challenge Apopka at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
