Rockmart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pepperell Dragons. One positive for the Yellowjackets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Rockmart's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Pepperell, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Rockmart will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sonoraville at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Pepperell, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Darlington at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
