Softball Recap: Bellarmine Prep Lions vs. Bethel Bison

Bellarmine Prep is still looking for their season's first win. They lost 30-11 to the Bethel Bison on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bellarmine Prep of the 14-10 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Halle Bjorkman was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Clare Walsh, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

On Bethel's side, Savannah McGee was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five stolen bases, five runs, and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Repp, who scored four runs and stole six bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Bellarmine Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Bethel, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16.
