Volleyball Recap: El Monte Takes a Loss

El Monte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Gabrielino Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

El Monte's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Gabrielino, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Monte will square off against EF Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gabrielino, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mountain View at 3:30 p.m. on April 14.
