Basketball Game Preview: Lansingburgh Knights vs. Cohoes Tigers

The Lansingburgh Knights will head out to square off against the Cohoes Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Lansingburgh and five for Cohoes.

Last Tuesday, Lansingburgh had to suffer through a 72-32 loss at the hands of Troy. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 634th, while the Flying Horses are ranked 179th).

The losing side was boosted by Adriana Sheppie, who posted 22 points. The contest was her third in a row with at least 15 points.

Meanwhile, Cohoes was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 53-49 to Mohonasen.

Lansingburgh's record now sits at 1-18. As for Cohoes, their record is now 4-15.

Lansingburgh was taken down by Cohoes 44-17 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Lansingburgh avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
